The ministry’s work is difficult and often lonely. Forty-one percent of pastors considered quitting in the last twelve months, and only thirty-five percent of pastors under 45 are satisfied with their jobs. The Tableview Farm is a sanctuary, a place where ministry leaders can feel safe talking about the hardships of life and leadership and developing a community in the comforting embrace of sobremesa (The Spanish tradition of relaxing at the table after a meal.) During sobremesa, the conversation is freely had.
